Property Detail

Description

Some homes invite you to bring your imagination. This one has been living in it for years. Longtime home of San Diego artist Ski Torzeski, 1147 Tucson is filled with creative touches, unexpected spaces and a backyard that feels like a little botanical world of its own. An atrium and greenhouse style setting surrounds a waterfall, mature plants and layered gathering spaces, with a bit of Balboa Park garden magic. Imagine coffee among the greenery or evenings entertaining in a setting your guests will remember. That artistic spirit continues throughout the property with decorative finials, reclaimed wood wall finishes and a window atrium that once housed a beloved parrot. The main house has a primary suite downstairs and a second primary suite upstairs. Two additional bedrooms were combined into a generous space where Ski created and stored his art, with the possibility of restoring the former layout. An unpermitted studio with a full kitchen and bath adds another intriguing space to explore. Largely in original condition, the home is priced with updates in mind, creating an opportunity to preserve its character while bringing your own vision to life. Eclectic, expressive and full of possibility, this is a home for anyone who has ever wished for a little more room to create. Buyer to independently investigate permits and potential modifications.
